region of 42.5 miles of bank, with excellent trout and grayling fishing
on the rivers Eden, Eamont, Lowther, Petteril, Lyvennet, Leith, Dacre
Beck, Briggle Beck and Trout Beck.
Penrith Angling Association has some of the best wild brown trout and grayling fishing in the country, set in the unspoilt and idyllic scenery of the Eden Valley. The whole river system is a Candidate European Special Area of Conservation, and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This reflects the area's diversity of wildlife. From source to Solway, the Eden and its tributaries meander through beautiful meadows and woodlands. This uninterrupted tranquillity provides those timeless experiences which are a rare treat for every angler.
